David May Preview: Blackburn Rovers v Man Utd

Before the preview, an announcement – the next United Nights event has been arranged. It’s going to be on Saturday 5th May, that is the day before we play the last home game of the season against Swansea, it might even be the day we lift our 20th Premier League Trophy!!

Onto the game against Blackburn, Steve Kean might end up winning manager of the season at this rate! He was taking so much abuse from his own fans earlier on in the season that everyone thought he would be sacked or quit under the pressure. Well fair play to the bloke, he has given the job his all and been rewarded. I know they lost to Bolton last week but after the Muamba situation it was always going to be a tricky game.

I think they will get more than enough points to stay up and if I was to predict my three to go down they would be Wigan, Wolves and QPR (Sparky has been really unlucky with so many red cards since he joined the club and they have a very difficult run in).

Rovers have a few decent players like Yakubu, Hoilett and Pedersen but so long as we can keep them quiet going forward I fancy us to score at the other end. It is well and truly squeaky bum time, let’s just hope we hold our nerve at Ewood Park!!!

Danger man: Yakubu

Feed the Yak and he will score!!! Well he has certainly proved that this season. If Rovers can stay up it will be down to his goals. Last season he was playing in the Championship for Leicester City, his career appeared to be winding down, he had done well at Pompey, Boro and Everton but even he must have thought he might not get another chance at the big time. Now once again he’s one of the Premier League Top Goals Scorers!!!!!

Score prediction : United are gonna win 3-1 against Blackburn, Valencia with a goal or two!!
