David May previews Chelsea title decider

Former United defender David May joins us for his latest preview – discussing the incredibly huge Chelsea game.

I just want to start off by saying congratulations to the whole United team, staff, Gaffer, squad, tea ladies and everybody associated with our great club. It is a fantastic achievement to reach three European Cup Finals in four years and I really hope we do ourselves justice in the Wembley Final.

As always with United the big games just keep on coming and I don’t think they get much bigger than a Title decider with Chelski. I am extremely nervous about the game but I think that is a good sign, the 19th Title means so much to everyone and with one good result against Romans Army we will pretty much have guaranteed the Gaffers dream to overcome the Scousers. I don’t want to go into technical team talks or which side we will put out because I don’t think it matters too much, I just want to see us win and with the players we have and the best manager that has ever lived I know we can do it!!!!

Danger Man: Michael Essien

Some people might think it’s strange for me to pick Essien when they have got Drogba, Lampard, Anelka, Torres etc… But for one I am not sure who Ancelotti or should I say Abramovic will start up front and another reason is the midfield is going to be such a key area. On his day Essien can be strong, powerful, determined and the boy has a lot of quality. We will have to conquer that area of the pitch, keep him quiet and then I think we can win the game. COME ON UNITED!!!!!

Score prediction : We are going to win 2-1, WAZZA first goal!!!

Reminder : This Saturday you can have the opportunity to warm up for the big game in style, by celebrating the birthday of a United legend in his company! Maysie is running a very special United Nights event with Norman Whiteside as the sole guest on the evening of his birthday, and you can be there. Tickets are only £20 and are available via the official website.

This is probably the toughest match United has played this season. Sir Alex Ferguson has to motivate his players for this crucial title decider. United have the advantage of playing home but the only game they have lost at home in the last 13 months came against Chelsea. Ancelotti’s men also have a good morale coming into this match as they managed a fantastic comeback in the title race and are on a terrific run as they have won 9 of their last ten matches.
