English giants Manchester United are preparing a £40 million bid for out-of-favor Tottenham and English left back Danny Rose according to reports from English publication Daily Mail.

The English international has struggled to nail down a starting berth since he returned from a knee injury that kept him out for over 9 months, and was also not included in the Spurs squad for the north London Derby defeat at the Emirates on Saturday. However, Manchester United defender Luke Shaw could also be included in the player plus cash exchange deal and could see the injury prone defender move to White Hart Lane whilst Danny Rose moves in the opposite direction.

The English defender was key for the Spurs outfit last term and was named in the PFA Team of the year for the second consecutive season despite picking up knee ligament damage away at Sunderland late January this year. However, Rose criticised the club wage structure and transfer dealings few months ago as he feels most of the players deserves to be on par with other big clubs in terms of wages and also wants the club to sign well known players.

He could be tempted with a move to the Theatre of Dreams in the winter transfer window if United make a move for him with his wages set to be doubled and the possibility of winning trophies under the Special One than at the north London club. On the other hand, English defender Luke Shaw could be open to a reunion with his former manager Pochettino at White Hart Lane after finding life difficult at Old Trafford since he joined the Red Devils in a £30 million deal from Southampton.

The English international has only played three games for Tottenham in all competitions since he returned from injury and would want to play more games with the world cup on the horizon.

Same old Daily Mail nonsense- Same old Woodward / Mourinho fan placating rumours.
“Man U is preparing a bid for a player at about 75% of his value.” Why would one read or write this article or give it any credence.
