Mourinho chasing £70m Silva

Manchester United, this season, were named as the club with the highest revenue and it seems they are actively looking to prove they have the money.

The English giants have splurged over £300m in the past three seasons, but may be spending more in the summer as they look to compete for the title next season. According to Talksport, Manchester United have identified Bernando Silva as the man to spark creativity in the middle of the park. After a stuttering start, Manchester United recorded  over fifteen games unbeaten this term, but have struggled to break down opponents who sit very deep against them, therefore highlighting Mourinho’s preference for Silva.

Silva, 22 is a Portuguese international footballer who has earned praise for his role in Monaco’s ascent to the top of Ligue 1, so much so that bet predictors such as footballbets.tips have tipped the young lad to be the next best thing out of Europe.

His creativity, guile and movement is second to none, and the relationship between Monaco and Manchester United may mean a move should not be too difficult.

Last year, Anthony Martial made the same move which benefited both parties. However, United face a tough task in landing the creative wizard, as Real Madrid are also rumoured to be interested in his services. Silva is represented by super agent, Jorge Mendes who also has the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, James Rodriguez, Diego Costa and a host of other superstar footballers.

Mourinho is willing to use Silva in the same way he used Cesc Fabregas while at Chelsea. The Spanish midfield star was exemplary as Chelsea coasted to the 2014/15 season after being signed by Mourinho after the 2014 World Cup. Silva is primarily a central attacking midfielder, who can also play on the right and also on the left. This season, he has made 26 appearances for his club, scoring six times and laying on six for his teammates.
