Star defender wants to sign for Man United not Chelsea – report

While Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to inflict more misery on Chelsea this weekend when they face-off in the week two of this season’s Premier League campaign, the Blues are plotting a move for England international and Tottenham left back Danny Rose but it appears that the star wants to lace his boots under Jose Mourinho for Manchester United.

Rose had made bare his mind following the dearth of transfer activities at Tottenham and his lower valuation as compared to his protégé at other clubs. He became heavily linked with a move away from the Lily Whites and the top Premier League clubs have been scampering for his signature, with Chelsea and Manchester United identified as front-runners.

Antonio Conte has been looking to add wing backs to his squad before the close of the transfer window and he has been forced to turn his attention to Rose, reports the Sun, having failed in his bidding to land Juventus left back Alex Sandro. However, there’s currently an impasse between Chelsea’s brass and Antonio Conte which has stalled their progress in the transfer window.

Rose reiterated his desire to end up playing up North before he finally quits the round leather game and reports by the Daily Star claims he fancies a move to Manchester United. The Lilywhites have already cashed in on Kyle Walker and they are wary of losing another key player as it is given that it will destabilise their squad.

Mourinho has a plethora of choices for the left back position but neither Luke Shaw nor Daley Blind have impressed the Portuguese tactician. The former’s injury record leaves so much to be desired while the latter fails to exude confidence while starring for the Red Devils.

The transfer window is very much still open and we’ll see how the saga pans out.
