Manchester United have commenced transfer business by signing highly-rated Swede, Victor Lindelof from Benfica in a £31m move. The Old Trafford outfit are looking at more signings this summer to ensure they have a formidable squad for next season, where they will be fighting on four fronts. We take a look at some transfers that are likely to be completed at the Theatre of Dreams.
Alvaro Morata
Spanish international and Real Madrid striker, Morata is reportedly close to a deal with the Old Trafford outfit after growing frustrated with his fringe role at the Santiago Bernabeu last season. He is reported to have agreed personal terms and it is believed that a £65m deal could be completed as early as next week. Morata scored 20 times for Los Blancos last term, winning the La Liga and retained the Champions League title.
James Rodriguez
Brazil 2014 World Cup sensation, James Rodriguez looks nailed to leave Real Madrid and join the Manchester United project. The 25-year-old playmaker is keen to play regular first team football ahead of next summer’s World Cup to be held in Russia, and with the likely departure of Wayne Rooney from the club, his favoured No. 10 Jersey could become available. However, a transfer fee has not been agreed with both clubs but it is rumoured that it shouldn’t be a problem as United could step up their pursuit of the former Monaco star.
Adnan Januzaj
Former boy wonder who has failed to kick on despite showing early promise in his career is set to depart the club this summer. An ill-fated loan spell at Sunderland proved to be the final undoing, as he failed to be consistent and the Black Cats eventually succumbed to the cruel hands of relegation. An £8.8m offer by Real Sociedad is said to be in the advanced stages, which will signal an end to what was otherwise a promising Manchester United career.
