There has been much talk about the supposedly imminent move of Pedro to Barcelona. The latest real development is that the forward will play in the UEFA Super Cup game today and the player’s agent has broken his silence to admit that there is nothing new to report.
‘At the moment there is no news about Pedro, we’ll see,’ Antonio Sanz is quoted as saying by European sports journalist student Omid Zamani. He is also said to have added it is ‘not the right time’ to speak about the matter.

So, no news may not be news at all, but considering the total silence on the matter from the player, and Barcelona’s public overtures to say they don’t want to lose him, it doesn’t seem as straight forward as some are suggesting that he will end up in Manchester by the end of the month. Sanz does not seem as if he is willing to rock the boat at Barcelona which could mean the player is hoping that his performances over these days will go some way to convincing Nou Camp boss Luis Enrique that he has a big role to play this season.
