Former Manchester United striker, Andy Cole has urged the club to pursue the signing of Arsenal striker, Alexis Sanchez who is reportedly closer to the exit door at the Emirates. News broke out this week that United are ready to hijack the move for the player, who had looked nailed on to join Manchester City but reports suggest that City are stalling on the deal.

Sanchez has refused to extend his current deal at the club, as he wants out because he feels at 29, he should be playing with better players with more opportunities to win the major trophies.

Cole, who played for Manchester United in the late 1990s and a crucial member of the 1999 Treble winning team has stated that Sanchez could be a game changer for us as we look to challenge City for the title.

We are currently 15 points behind Pep Guardiola’s men and are desperate to sign Sanchez, who is one of the best players in the league. It is reported that Arsenal are closing in on the deal to sign young Brazilian winger, Malcom who has been touted as the replacement for the 29-year-old Chilean.

Speaking to Sky sports recently, Cole said, “If Manchester United bought Sanchez it would be a major, major signing, We all know what he did at Arsenal, Barcelona and before that Udinese.

“We appreciate what a good player he is.”He’ll have the choice of a lot of clubs and, if United could get him, it would be a massive signing.” he added.

Sanchez has just 6 months left on his Arsenal contract and would offer stardust to our attack as his pace, commitment, dribbling, creativity and finishing are renowned all over the football world. He joined Arsenal in the summer of 2014 from Barcelona and has won two FA Cup titles in that time.
