Manchester United target, Lucas Moura has reportedly agreed personal terms with Manchester United, according to the Sun. The Italian publication suggests that the 25 year old Brazilian international is ready to quit PSG ahead of this summer’s World Cup in the hope that he can make the Selecao squad for the mundial.
The attacking midfielder is keen to make the switch to Old Trafford, as Les Parisien report that the player’s representatives are pushing him towards a move to the Premier League with Liverpool also interested in his signature. The signings of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe have pushed the player further down the pecking order as the likes of Di Maria, Pastore and Draxler are currently ahead of the former wonder kid in the thoughts of Unai Emery.
It is reported that United want a loan move with the option to buy at the end of the season but the French capital outfit want an outright sale of around £35m. The arrivals of the likes of Mbappe and Neymar means that Les Parisiens must balance the books in a bid not to fall foul of UEFA’s Financial Fair Play regulations.
Lucas Moura used to be a target of our club when Sir Alex Ferguson was manager, but he opted to move to The Parc des Princes in January 2013. A culmination of injury and form concern have stalled his progress and needs a move to resurrect his career.
He will offer us quality in the attacking third of the pitch and offer more direct threat as his pace, trickery, Brazilian flair and creativity may prove too much for defenders to handle. He has won a raft of trophies in his time in Paris. With his heart set on a move to Old Trafford, all that is left is for both clubs to reach a compromise about the fee.
