Announcement: Site Rebranded To RetroUnited.com

We are delighted to welcome you to RetroUnited.com, a new direction for our previous guise, ‘TalkOfTheDevils.com’. RetroUnited.com is the most comprehensive statistical resource for Manchester United supporters on the internet, brought to you by a number of former players and renowned club historians and authors.

Regular readers of the website may be aware of our history. For new readers, here’s a brief breakdown. ‘7Cantonas.com’ was created in January 2011 and quickly established itself as an independent platform for supporters to air their voice online.

Shortly after creation, 7Cantonas became the first supporter run website to feature exclusive contributions from former players of the club. More and more former players followed, to the point where it was necessary to rebrand the website as ‘TalkOfTheDevils.com’.

Today we relaunch with a new directive. We will continue to bring exclusive former player content through the website and the podcast with some announcements to follow.

So what’s new? Recently the sheer quality of contributors, many of them renowned in modern United literature, has become so strong that a rebrand was necessary. First of all, RetroUnited.com will continue to bring nostalgic posts looking at the clubs history through the words of the likes of Roy Cavanagh MBE.

Roy was one of the group who set up the Manchester United Collector’s Club. Today, we are also proud to announce that RetroUnited.com will serve as an online home for the Collector’s Club, which is maintained and run by Iain McCartney.

Additionally, we have extended our writing base, and on these pages from now on we are delighted to say that we will bring posts from well known North West broadcasters and renowned journalists. Current news and opinions will still be featured from our excellent team of writers.

However, the most comprehensive feature of the website – and that which we are arguably most excited to share – is the database of every single senior Manchester United match in history. There are a couple of excellent websites that bring similar information, but what makes RetroUnited.com different is a combination of all our strongest elements in one.

Going back to the foundation of Newton Heath, every game, score, known scorers and attendance over more than 120 years is shared with every existing yearly squad picture where available and an image of the changing face of ‘United Review’, the match day programme.

Navigating through the menu under ‘history’ you will now be able to browse through every stat in United’s past and look at fascinating memorabilia from the time.

And if that wasn’t enough, we will soon be bringing even more information to make RetroUnited.com the must visit website when it comes to a truly exhaustive database of the club’s past. Keep visiting the website for further updates.
