Former United defender David May previews the game between Manchester United and Blackburn Rovers where United could make history.
It’s funny what a difference a year makes. This time last year we were drawing to Blackburn at Ewood Park and basically handing the Title to Chelski. Twelve months on and another 0-0 draw would be good enough to see us lift our historic 19th Title. What a day it could be. I fully expect the Gaffer to play his strongest team, our record against Rovers is good, they are pretty much safe from relegation and although they treated Big Sam terribly I am glad my old club will just about stay in the top flight. I can see us getting an early goal and then hopefully adding to it in the second half.
I would love for us to be three up at half time so we can all start celebrating early but that’s not usually what happens with us!!! Ha ha. I can see there being more United fans at Ewood Park than Rovers supporters so that will help us get the atmosphere really going and should help bring home the Trophy.
Whatever way it comes it will be an incredible achievement for the manager, staff and all the players. I am very proud of them all and am honoured to have played a little role in some of the success. If we can manage not to lose it will bring about one of the biggest party celebrations ever seen and I invite you all to join me at the next United Nights before the Blackpool game!!!!!!
Danger Man: Chris Samba
In my opinion he is their best player, the way he put his body on the line against the Hammers last week was incredible and that’s what defending is all about. He is a man mountain, strong, powerful, he can tackle, is great in the air and not bad with his feet for a big man!!!! Ha Ha. If we can get him isolated against the Little Pea I don’t think he will be able to handle Chicharito’s pace. I can see that being the key to the game, the lads at the back will have to be on their toes as well because Samba can be a handful at both ends of the pitch. COME ON UNITED!!!!!
I just want to say a big thank you to everyone that went to the Special Norman Whiteside event, he loved it and everyone had a fantastic time!!!!
My next United Night is a 19th Title Celebration Special, it is on Sat May 21st, the day before we lift the Title against Blackpool at Old Trafford. It starts at 7pm at the Walkabout in Manchester. I will be there and one of my guests will be JESPER BLOMQVIST!!!!!
You can get your tickets online now, it is going to be the biggest party in years!!!!!
Keep the Red Flag Flying!!!
Score Prediction : We are going to win 2-0, Berba back on the score sheet!!!
