Injuries are part of the game of football but Jose Mourinho apparently has a good training method that keeps majority of his players fit as compared to a club like Arsenal.
Nonetheless, recent report, Manchester United could be without that midfielder Juan Mata for the rest of the season after the underwent a corrective surgery on his groin.
Sadly for the Red Devils, some key players are yet on the recovery pane and the injury to Mata means he’s joined Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, and Paul Pogba on the sideline.
Phil Jones and Chris Smalling picked up injuries while representing England during the interlull and are not in contention for the game against the Baggies today.
Despite his creativity, Mata has failed to establish himself in the squad of the Red Devils but most pundits have argued that he is not liked by Mourinho, which was one of the reasons Mourinho sold him from Chelsea.
Mata has started only 16games Premier League games for United this term, in which he’s scored six goals and provided three assist.
Mourinho was quizzed ahead of their game against West brom on the impact of the injuries on his team and responded saying.
“We cannot be here crying or speaking about the players who are not available to play,” .
“You know Zlatan and Herrera are suspended, you know that Herrera is two matches banned for that episode against Chelsea.
“You know what happened in the English national team with Smalling and Jones.
“You know that we have also Pogba injured, but I repeat they’re not important.
“The important players are the ones that are ready to play and the ones I trust and the ones who are going to give us everything tomorrow to try to keep us in the fight for the top four.”
Mata plays behind the striker or from the flanks but in his absence, Mourinho will make do with a makeshift midfielder.
