Bolton : David May preview

Great win on Tuesday, I know a lot of people were nervous about what might happen but that’s how the Gaffer likes to do it. Keeping everyone on the edge of their seat until the very end. I was happy with how we played considering the team we put out. The back four had a few tricky moments but they are not used to playing week in, week out together like Vida and Rio. Wazza is getting back to his best, the little pea is incredible for such a young age and with Nani and Valencia running down the wings it gave Marseille plenty of problems and I really can see a positive end to the season!!!

On to the Trotters, Owen Coyle has done a superb job since he took charge at the Reebok Stadium, adding a passing game to what was already a strong and powerful side. We have a pretty good record against them over the years, scoring plenty of goals. I can remember a hat-trick from Wazza, Berba getting a few and even a couple of own goals recently. I think it will be a tough game but with us hopefully scoring a few second half goals to kill them off. We just need to get through this fixture because then it gives us a couple of weeks to get the players back fit and fresh for the final run in. For once maybe the international break has come at a decent time for us.

Danger Man: Kevin Davies

He may not be everybody’s cup of tea but he is big, strong and he knows how to put himself about and create chances for his side. He works well with Elmander and more recently Sturridge. Depending on who we have at the back we might not always be able to win the first ball but we should just make it as difficult as possible for him to get a clean header on it and then pick up the pieces. It’s not always pretty but if you work hard and get to those second balls first it gives you a great chance of defending properly and then hitting them on the counter attack. COME ON UNITED!!!!

Prediction : We are going to win 3-0. Berba first goal. (fingers crossed!)

Reminder : Maysie’s United Nights is TOMORROW, at Walkabout off Deansgate in Manchester. As well as Maysie, Frank Stapleton and Arthur Albiston will be there. Tickets are still available on the official website, order now to avoid missing out.
