Valencia are very close to signing 21 year old Brazilian midfielder, Andreas Pereira as club owner, Peter Lim has travelled to England to seal the deal for the highly rated youngster, as per Super Deporte. It is believed the deal is a season long loan offer, without the option of a permanent transfer as Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho is a huge admirer of his abilities, having watched him closely on the club’s pre-season tour of the United States.
The Belgium born midfielder played for Granada last season, and it seems that he left a sufficient impression on the Los Che who are now willing to seal his signing ahead of Premier League teams. The Sun reports that the player is “close” to the Mestalla stadium outfit as he has been left frustrated by his inability to play at all this season or even feature in the match day squads for the victories over West Ham and Swansea. He couldn’t help Granada stave off relegation in his sole season at the club, but he was widely regarded as the best player in the club at the time.
Pereira will be the eighth player leaving Old Trafford this summer, but is highly regarded as one of the club’s best young talents but needs regular playing time to continue his development, something that United can’t guarantee at the moment as we are well stocked in that department. He made his debut in the 4-0 defeat at the hands of MK Dons in the 2014/15 season under Louis van Gaal, after being signed as a player for the future in 2011 from PSV.
Pereira is a midfielder that can play as a central midfielder as well as further forward in a central attacking midfield told. A typical Brazilian player, he combines deadly dribbling and creativity in equal measure. He registered 5 goals and 3 assists in 37 matches for Granada last season.
