According to reports, Manchester United could be set for a January capture of Algerian left back, Faouzi Ghoulam who currently plies his trade with Italian league leaders, Napoli in the Italian Serie A. Manager, Jose Mourinho is reported not to be happy with his current options in that department as the likes of Luke Shaw and Daley Blind have not impressed sufficiently to make that position theirs’ while England international, Ashley Young who has played there for much of the season so far is not a natural fit in that position.

Daily Express report that United will make a bid for the player this month in a bid to improve on our squad. Manager, Jose Mourinho has stated that the team needs reinforcements in terms of playing personnel in a bid to compete for the major trophies on offer and Ghoulam could be the solution to our left back issues should he make the switch from Naples to Manchester.

The player has never hidden his intention to move to a bigger club, but despite Napoli being in a title race with perennial league winners, Juventus, he could make the switch as it may not come at a better time for him.
However, it is believed that United want to sell Netherlands international, Daley Blind this winter in a bid to fund any transfer for Ghoulam.

The 27-year-old Dutch utility player has not found favour with Jose Mourinho and is reportedly close to an exit from the club with big names such as Real Madrid and Barcelona monitoring his situation. Real want him to add cover to their team while Barcelona want the former Ajax man to replace Mascherano, who is nearing a lucrative move to China this month.

Ghoulam, 26 is an all-action left back that will add dynamism to our play. He joined Napoli in 2014 and has made 151 appearances, establishing himself as one of the finest in his position in Europe.
