David May Preview : Chelsea game

Wow, the big games just keep on coming, what a massive week; it hopefully ends with us in the Champions League Semi-Final and in the FA Cup Final. This is what playing for Manchester United is all about. The players and staff live for moments like these and the Gaffer will be letting them know exactly how to prepare the right way for each game. I am so excited, for me this is better than Christmas morning!!! The anticipation, the nerves, letting yourself get a little carried away knowing how close we are to another incredible season. This is how a fan feels but the Gaffer will be keeping everyone’s feet firmly on the ground. We haven’t done or won anything yet and every single game (as the old saying goes) is a Cup Final. Everyone wants to beat United more than any other team (including the FA) so we have to concentrate every step of the way, have a little luck and you just never know what might happen!!!

Onto the game, the pressure is really starting to build on Ancelotti. Even if the worse was to happen and they knock us out I can’t see them beating Barcelona in the final and so I don’t see him being there next season. Which is incredible to think after he won the double in his first campaign in English football. I would expect him to go with his tried and tested formation tonight, 4-3-3. With Anelka, Malouda and Drogba upfront, keeping Torres on the bench might not please his owner but it is surely the best thing to do. However I don’t think it matters who he plays or in what positions, we have a fantastic home record this season, we are suited to playing on the counter attack, AND WE ARE BETTER THAN THEM!!! The Gaffer has pretty much a fully fit squad to choose from, Valencia has come back in amazing form, Nani is always a threat and Wazza is playing like he has something to prove. Throw in the energy and predatory instincts of the Little Pea and the Premierships leading goal scorer and I would say we are looking pretty good. I will be at Old Trafford doing MUTV tonight, cheering on the lads with the best fans in the world.  COME ON UNITED!!!!

DANGER MAN: Didier Drogba

On his day he is one of the best strikers in the world. He is aggressive, skilful, strong, decent in the air and can often score a goal out of nothing. It has probably helped us this season that Chelski don’t seem to always know who is in charge and who picks the team, is it Abramovich or Ancelotti? This has affected Drogba, he is used to being the main man, I think he thrives on the pressure and more or less doing what he wants out on the pitch. That hasn’t happened since Torres came in and let’s hope the blues strikers have another off day!!!

Prediction : We are going to win 2-1, Wazza last goal!!!!
