David May previews Manchester United’s visit to Everton on Saturday lunchtime.
I don’t really want to go into what happened last weekend, all I am going to say is that I hope all the players learn from it and sometimes it helps to get a kick up the backside every now and then. So what fixture did we want this weekend, well a nice easy trip to Goodison Park, not exactly what I would have handpicked.
Wigan, Swansea or QPR would have been nice but we have got to play everyone and maybe it will help to get the City result out of our system. The last few years we haven’t got the result we wanted there. Last season we played really well for 89 minutes until we threw it away conceding 2 late goals, we lost the season before and got a 0-0 before that so it’s definitely a difficult place to go.
David Moyes has done an incredible job there, every year he seems to have to sell a few of his best players to the top clubs and yet he remains as determined as ever to succeed. They still have some great players, Baines is one of the best left backs in the league, Cahill always pops up with a goal and we all know about Saha, when he’s on his game he can be unplayable. Having said that the gaffer and players will have been hurt and embarrassed after last week’s performance, they will have been going crazy waiting for this game, wanting to get back on the pitch as soon as possible to show everyone that they are better than what they showed last week. I know they will be ready, prepared perfectly and will have no excuses, we need a win to get back on track and we can get it. COME ON UNITED!!!!!
Danger man: Tim Howard
It’s not very often I pick a keeper as the danger man but Tim Howard has impressed me so much since coming to England, he did really well when he was with us but lost his confidence after that game with Porto (Which we should of won, the Ginger Prince’s goal was well onside) and since he has moved to Goodison he’s never let them down. We will have to play really well and take our chances when they come because it’s not going to be easy to get past there tough defence and one of the best keepers in the league!!!
Prediction : United are gonna win 1-0 against Everton, Wazza to get the goal!
