We have a good record at home against the Toffees; I think we have won the last 4 in the league and we very rarely get beaten off them at Old Trafford. Having said that they have just come into a bit of form, winning their last 2 games and not being beaten since that surprise defeat to Reading in the FA Cup.
As you can tell I have been checking out the stats!!! Ha ha. David Moyes has done a superb job there, not many managers would have kept a side in the league on his limited budget let alone being able to complete in the top half most years. I would love them to pip Liverpool and get into a European place. Just like our Gaffer he gets the most out of his players, guys like Osman and Hibbert may not be the biggest names in the world but they always do a good, honest job and I love to see people like that getting a chance in the game. He has mixed their abilities with guys like Arteta, Cahill and fellaini, giving the side that touch of class. It also helps to get a few players off United over the years, Phil, Louis and Tim are still top notch!!!
I would expect the Gaffer to play a similar team to the one he played at Newcastle, ok the result wasn’t amazing but at this stage of the season it is just about winning the title. With the Gunners and Chelski 6 points behind it still looks like ours to lose. I don’t think we will lose it, the manager and players have walked this road many times before, they have experienced it all and I think it is that which will bring the trophy back home, even if it takes us to the last game of the season against Blackpool I don’t care so long as we pick up that 19th title. COME ON UNITED!!!!
DANGER MAN: Phil Neville
The ultimate professional, just like his brother, although he doesn’t moan as much he is still a class act. He can deliver a ball better than most people, is great in the tackle, never runs out of energy and hasn’t got a bad bone in his body. I never thought I would say he was a “Danger Man” but I owe him a favour so there it is. Ha ha (Cheers Phil)
Prediction : We are going to win 2-1, Nani to score!!!
Check out David’s other score predictions on the United Nights website where you can also buy tickets for the next event, an event to celebrate the birthday of Norman Whiteside on the 7th May. We’ll be giving away a couple of tickets in the next few days, so stay tuned!
