David May Preview: Fulham

Not the greatest of starts for us but there were plenty of positives following the game at Goodison. Kagawa was fantastic, he links the play perfectly and I can see him building up an understanding with Rooney and RVP.

Obviously it wasn’t ideal going into the first match with only one centre-back but I am so happy to see Vida and I thought Carrick did ok. The Gaffer has said Jones is in training now so hopefully he is fit for Southampton. The rest of the team looks like it’s going to need time to gel, which is to be expected. When all the lads are fit I think we have a much stronger squad than last season and will definitely be fighting it out for the title in May!

Looking at Fulham and well they couldn’t have started the season any better, it is never easy to win 5-0 so they must have been doing a lot of things right. We will however be a much stronger test than the Canaries. I don’t like to be mean but Grant Holt looks like he’s been enjoying his new contract a little too much. He was my size!!!

Anyway last season Fulham gave us a really tough game at Old Trafford and probably should have had a pen towards the end of the match, players like Duff and Dembele can hurt you if they are given time and space, our midfield will have to track the runners better than Norwich did. The Gaffer will want us to bounce back in style and I think that’s just what we are going to do, fingers crossed he unleashes WAZZA AND RVP UPFRONT!!!

Prediction : United to win 4-2, with Wazza and RvP scoring!
