Well this week has all been about transfers.
I think Sunderland bringing in Fletcher & Johnson is great for them. Johnson never really got a steady run in the side at City & Fletcher scored plenty of goals last season. As usual the price, they paid was too much, but that seems like the going rate these days.
I’ve not got a clue what the Scousers are thinking, I thought Brendan Rodgers did well at Swansea but he seems to have lost his mind. Ok, Carroll hasn’t been amazing & Charlie Adam tries the hollywood ball a little too often but they were the clubs big name signings under Kenny. They have just thrown millions & millions away, very odd. Arsenal have done the usual, Hazard looks good at Chelski, I thought City would have done more & the rest hasn’t really got me going.
I am very happy with the business we have done, Kagawa & RVP have already given our side an extra dimension & they will only get better.
I was a little disappointed with the Champions League draw, because I think we play better against bigger teams. I know we won’t make the same mistake as last season but once again it should be an easy group. The good news is City have it tough, Chelski’s group looks tricky, Arsenal should get through and Celtic will do well to come second!!!
Last weekend against Fulham gave us a little glimpse into the future, RVP & Kagawa were different class. We were fantastic in the first half, the second wasn’t as good but we still created chances & them getting a few opportunities was to be expected with our make shift defence. Also a quick note on our keeper, thought he made some brilliant saves & kept us in the game at times. I am not worried about Wazza, he will be back in a month better than ever.
One last thing. Good luck to Berba, I have always enjoyed watching him play and thought he was unlucky not to play more. He is also a top bloke.
Prediction : United to win Southampton 5-1!
