David May Preview: Swansea City v Manchester United

David May previews Manchester United’s trip to Swansea City.

Finally another International break is over and we can get back to some proper football. I enjoy watching the World Cup and the Euro’s but all these friendlies just get on my nerves. At least Nani scored a screamer the other night, if anybody missed it, check out YouTube!

He has got so much talent it is scary, I just wish he was a little more consistent. Having said that, most wingers are hit and miss. Anyway I do ramble on sometimes… Surely this is where the season really gets going for United. Our league games for the rest of the year are Swansea, Newcastle, Villa, Wolves, QPR, Fulham, Wigan and Blackburn. Now I am not always super optimistic but if we want to win the title again we must be taking three points from nearly all these fixtures. It won’t be easy but the Gaffer has proved time and time again he knows how to use his squad at busy periods in the season and I am looking forward to a very happy Christmas!!!!!

Onto Swansea and they have had a decent start to the season, they are tenth in the league after eleven games and are above nearly all the other relegation candidates. As long as Brendan Rodgers team can stay above the drop zone everyone associated with the club will be ecstatic. He has done a fantastic job with limited resources and they have a few good players. I am looking forward to seeing their keeper Michel Vorm, he has looked incredible recently and then there’s Danny Graham up front.

I think it’s going to be a funny season at the bottom of the table because usually the promoted teams can get stuck down there all year but with Wigan’s poor squad and the turmoil at Blackburn this might be the best opportunity they have to stay in the top flight. Then try and build on it in the seasons to come, a little like Stoke have done. I always wish the promoted teams luck but I hope we batter them this weekend!!

Danger man: Danny Graham

It’s nice to see a player given the chance to step up into the Premier League. He did well with Watford, scoring a lot of goals in the Championship, we all know its completely different at the top level but after a few games he has started to find his feet. He has managed to hit the back of the net against Stoke, Norwich, Wolves and Bolton which is a pretty decent return. Swansea have given him a great opportunity, they paid over three million to get him which is a decent chunk of their budget so will expect goals, it’s going to be a difficult season for them and if they are going to avoid relegation Danny Graham will have a big part to play.

Prediction : United are gonna win 4-0 against Swansea, Wazza with all four!!!!!!
