David May previews the Schalke second leg

As always, former Manchester United defender David May gives 7Cantonas.com his pre-match thoughts ahead of the semi final second leg with Schalke.

It has been yet another crazy week at the Theatre of Dreams and it would be quite easy to forget the Schalke game completely but as we all know in football it’s not over until that final whistle goes!!! We should have more than enough to get past the Germans at Old Trafford whatever team the Gaffer picks. I can see him going with an experienced side to start with, let’s get the job done first and go a few goals up, then we can always make a few changes late on. The last thing anyone wants is for them to get a goal early on or even score before we do. That would put a little pressure back on the boys and we could really do without that going into one of the biggest games in years!!!

I would expect us to do a professional job and hopefully we can all celebrate reaching the Champions League Final on Wednesday night. What an achievement it would be for the players, staff and Gaffer. This team has been slagged off by the pundits, newspapers and radio shows, they say we are not good enough, well at the end of the season; we can keep quiet and put our medals on the table!!!

One last note, it really is a title decider against Chelski, I will get into it with my thoughts after the Schalke game. At the moment I will leave you with one word that sums it up MASSIVE!!! Ha ha, COME ON UNITED!!!!!!!!!

Score prediction : We are going to win 4-1, Berba to get a couple!!!

Reminder : This Saturday there is a special event for United Nights, a one off opportunity to spend Norman Whiteside’s birthday with him! You can buy tickets on the door but be sure to avoid disappointment by ordering them online through the official website.

The event will be on Saturday the 7th of May at 7:30pm at Walkabout, just off Deansgate in Manchester.
