Manchester United fans have taken to social media platform, Twitter to express our happiness at the display of Serbian international midfielder, Nemanja Matic who delivered a man of the match performance in our 2-1 away victory over West Brom at the Hawthorns on Sunday afternoon.
Goals from Romelu Lukaku and Jesse Lingard ensured we were comfortable heading into the second half, but Gareth Barry’s 77th strike ensured we finished the game with more anxiety than we would have liked. Matic delivered a masterclass performance, as he constantly broke opposition play and tried to find his better-placed teammates.
The former Chelsea man has been impressive for us this season given his £40 million summer move, and looked assured on and off the ball as he put a recent injury worry behind him. Alongside Ander Herrera, Matic did his job as ensured we took all three points at a difficult stadium to still keep us in the race for the title.
