According to by Daily star, European champions, Real Madrid are willing to listen to offers for Welsh wizard, Gareth Bale. The former Tottenham man is being considered for the Santiago Bernabeu exit as the club mull over signing Kylian Mbappe. Real boss, Zidane, has not hidden his admiration for the 18-year-old Monaco sensation, but accepts that the club need to sell a part of the attacking trident comprising, of Benzema, Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo, to fund the move.
Bale is no longer the indispensable figure at the club, as he has struggled as a result of injuries and missed the chunk of last season. Towards the end of last season, he had lost his place to Isco, who proved pivotal in Real winning the League and Champions League double. Marca (as relayed by Daily star) reports that Madrid have made Bale available for £90m, which looks like a fair price considering the ‘crazy’ world of transfers at the moment.
Real are looking to free up cash to sign Mbappe in a stunning £161m, as Barcelona have become interested in entering a bidding war with their bitter rivals following the exit of Neymar to PSG in a world record £198m deal.
Bale also seems to have lost his confidence, as he is no longer running behind defenders and beating them for pace to score goals, majorly due to his injury record of late.
As per same report, it is believed Premier League giants, Chelsea and Manchester United could be interested in taking him back to England, as the player inwardly accepts that his Spanish adventure may be over.
Last season, he could only muster 9 goals in 27 matches. However, he has scored 67 goals in 150 matches overall and has won a league title, One Copa del Rey and three Champions League title since his then world record move from Tottenhham back in 2013.
