After spending over £150m on signings such as Romelu Lukaku, Nemanja Matic, and Victor Lindelof, Manchester United will turn their attention to extending the contracts of players who are on the verge of running out their current contract at the club.

Jose Mourinho’s team have looked impressive since the opening weekend of the season, and it seems incoming transfer business is done at the club, as the last transfer target for the club, Ivan Perisic has not been given the permission to join the 2008 Champions League winners by his club, Inter Milan.

New signings, Lukaku and Matic have looked very good and have improved the first team, and it seems that United have wrapped up business in this summer’s transfer window that has been impressive due to the nature of players manager, Jose Mourinho has brought in.

Chief executive, Ed Woodward will now look to extend the contract of players that are still valuable to the club in the long term and some famous names might depart the club either in January or by next summer. Players such as Daley Blind, Michael Carrick, Marouane Fellaini, Ander Herrera, Sam Johnstone, Juan Mata, Andreas Pereira, Luke Shaw and Ashley Young are the players in this situation, The Sun reports.

The likes of Andreas Pereira, Carrick, Johnstone and Fellaini are all expected not to be offered new contracts as they are not currently in the managers plans or not playing regularly.

Juan Mata and compatriot, Herrera are expected to put pen to paper on fresh terms at the club as both are very valuable first team players. Herrera was the subject of a bid from Barcelona but Mourinho rates him and his Spanish teammate, Mata well. Shaw and Young can also expect to be handed renewals as both are just recuperating from injury layoffs and can be still be valuable members of the squad.

Ed should sigh Perisic is a good winger. He should not forget about him we still have many different matches which will a short space of time, and injuries are an unpredictable. players will need to rest. So we Thomas Lemar and Ivan Perisic as right and Left wingers respectively.
