Good news for Man Utd fans as Romelu Lukaku shares another transfer hint

By Dave Marshall

World record transfer holder, Paul Pogba has teased Manchester United fans about the imminent capture of Everton’s centre forward, Romelu Lukaku. Reports broke in the media today that Manchester United had agreed a fee of £75m for the transfer of the former Chelsea man to Old Trafford. Chelsea had been frontrunners for the signature of their former youngster, but United have stolen a march on their title rivals by snapping up the powerful forward, and denying Chelsea the opportunity of re-signing the player who left for Goodison Park in 2014.

Mino Raiola, the player’s agent has brokered the transfer of three other players to The Theatre of Dreams in the past year, as Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic have all made the switch to the 20-time English champions. Pogba shared the photo on picture sharing platform, Instagram. The pair are known to have one of the best football friendships in world football at the moment.

Pogba shared the picture in which he showed himself and the 24 year old Belgian either side of NBA star, Serge Ibaka. Pogba titled the picture, “All white everything”.

Lukaku has never hidden his intention to play for Chelsea once again after he failed there as a teenager, but with the league champions playing hardball over the transfer fee, coupled with the bad relationship between Chelsea and Everton following the Blues pursuit of former Everton man John Stones two years ago, the move to Stamford Bridge looks unlikely to happen.

Lukaku scored 25 league goals in 37 appearances for Ronald Koeman’s men last season, and will be a key ingredient and asset in United’s title push for next season.
