Manchester United striker, Romelu Lukaku has been cleared of further action by the FA as the English football authority has found him not guilty of kicking Brighton defender, Gaetan Bong. Lukaku was filmed kicking at Bong’s groin twice just before Ashley Young scored the goals that proved to be the difference at Old Trafford on Saturday.

For long periods of the game, United looked set for a draw as the newly promoted side showed inexperience to take their chances, and they were made to pay. The referee didn’t see the incident which meant that the Belgium striker was expected to receive retrospective action by the FA.

Lukaku, 24 struggled to impact on the game at Old Trafford as he laboured to impose himself on Brighton. The striker has lost a bit of momentum after an electrifying start to his United career, scoring once since the end of September.

Sky Sports tweeted on popular social media platform that 24 year old Lukaku will not miss those matches. They said,”BREAKING: @RomeluLukaku9 will face no further action from the @FA for allegedly kicking out at @OfficialBHAFC defender Gaetan Bong at Old Trafford on Saturday – Sky sources.

After an excellent start to the season, United have suffered a dip in form but with the return to fitness of the likes of Paul Pogba, Marcos Rojo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic will make us more formidable going forward. Mourinho has stuck with Lukaku despite his bad run, but his patience is known to be on a short fuse as the likes of Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Luke Shaw will attest to.

Missing those games would have affected his form and confidence a lot, but he now has another chance to remind us of his quality.
Lukaku is a left footed striker known for his pace despite his burly physicality, quality and finishing. In 5 full Premier League seasons, he has scored 93 league goals, second only to Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero.
