RetroUnited.com can reveal that Manchester United legend Gordon Hill is involved in English football once again, with his international football academy announcing a link up with League One club Chesterfield FC.
In a statement on his official website, Gordon said “I’m delighted to announce a new and exciting partnership between Chesterfield FC and the Gordon Hill International Football Academy based in Florida. For years I have been heavily invested in the development of young players and have campaigned for better opportunities of American youngsters to progress in a professional environment and I am very pleased to now share information of this partnership that will hopefully present the chance of a lifetime to many aspiring footballers.”
Gordon will link up with former United goalkeeper Chris Turner, who said of the news, “The link-up between our club and the Gordon Hill Soccer Academy provides a great opportunity for Gordon’s players. Forging links with players and business partners can only be a positive step forward for all concerned and we are delighted to established the relationship.”
