According to The Mirror, Manchester United boss, Jose Mourinho is looking at making a number of marquee signings in a bid to challenge for the Champions League title next season and has reportedly identified La Liga duo, Gareth Bale and Antoine Griezmann as the players he believes can catapult us into the bracket of the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid and PSG.

Both players are unsettled at their clubs for different reasons, and José would love nothing better than to sign the pair to make a statement of intent. Reports in the media had suggested that the Portuguese tactician could leave our club if not given the funds he craves to spend on any player he wants.
Bale and Griezmann have for years been linked to Old Trafford and it seems that next summer, there could be a flurry of stars plying their trade at our glorious club.

Bale, 28 is no longer the indispensable force at Real Madrid given that his career in recent years has been beset by injuries. The emergence of Marco Asensio has even thrown more questions about his future given that the Spanish youngster is 21 and seen as the future of the club. Griezmann, 26 was booed in the Madrid Derby over the weekend as he suffered perhaps his worst game in the colours of Los Rojiblancos, making only 13 touches in the game in what has been a recurrent theme for the blond-haired genius this term.

He looked set to join us last summer but changed his mind after FIFA upheld Atleti’s transfer ban and knowing that his club couldn’t sign a replacement, decided to stay at the Wanda Metropolitano. Both players will command hefty fees, but José would be less concerned as he will do everything it takes to win trophies, and seeing the manner with which bitter rival, Pep Guardiola has gone about his business at Manchester City, will only fuel him to match his nemesis.

United are willing to take a risk on Bale, despite his well-documented injury concerns as the Welsh wizard is a seasoned campaigner in the Premier League and won’t take time to adapt.

The Mirror also report that United are monitoring RB Leipzig’s Swedish midfielder, Emil Fosberg and Valencia youngster, Carlos Soler, both of whom have impressed in the Bundesliga and La Liga respectively this term.
