Jose Mourinho to finally sanction deal for Spanish midfielder

Desperate times require desperate measures and so we expect to see huge steps taken by the managers of clubs to secure deals for outstanding players in their team.

If reports making the rounds by the Daily Mail are anything to go by, then Manchester United are preparing to extend the contract of Ander Herrera with a pay rise.

The Spanish ace midfielder has emerged not just as the most improved Man United player, but the one of the best performers in their matches. He was the star man for the Red Devils when they thumped Chelsea in the League last weekend.

It was on the second attempt that United succeeded in securing the signature of the former Aletico Bilbao star man. He completed the move in the summer of 2014.

Despite the number of players that have moved in and out of Old Trafford since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson, Herrera has remained rooted in United but his proved his mettle more this season.

As reward for his stellar show-offs, he’s been offered a new £120k-a-week deal against the £75k-a-week he currently earns.

Herrera plays as deep lying midfielder but given the privilege to roam around the field this term, Herrera has succeeded and is in no doubt in the plans of Jose Mourinho for next season.
