A number of sources are suggesting that Kevin Strootman will join the club in January after he has fully recovered from his knee injury.
Louis van Gaal has been very open in his admiration for Strootman but did not want to sign him this summer as he wanted to make sure the midfielder was fully fit before sanctioning the £25m deal. Reports now suggest that, provided there remain now doubts over the injury, the Roma star will join in the January transfer window.
It is also looking likely that Strootman will not be the only player signed in January with a number of targets still on the managers radar.
