A season that has suddenly turned good for Manchester United may be truncated with the recent spate of injuries that is currently bedeviling the team.
Report according to Daily Record has indicated that Marcos Rojo has joined Zlatan Ibrahimovic on the sideline after he ruptured his cruciate ligament when the Red Devils knocked out Anderlecht in their Europa Cup game last Thursday.
Jose Mourinho has been without Juan Mata, Chris Smalling and Phil Jones but the recent injury to Ibrahimovic means a chunk of his first team players are unavailable.
Rojo was a fringe player when Jose Mourinho took charge of the Red Devils but he was given the opportunity to play when Eric Bailly sustained an injury earlier in the season and the Argentine has since then won the heart of the Portuguese tactician.
The report claims Rojo will not be in action until September when the new season would have started. We hope the absence of Rojo would not make an already uphill tax for Champions League qualification tougher for United. In his absence, Blind may be given the chance but the Dutch star has not been able to convince Mourinho.
The Old Trafford Landlords are in the running for Champions League qualification via the Europa Cup and the Premier League. They are favourite to win the Europa Cup and could also ended up as one of the best four on the League table.
