Man United deal complete, medical scheduled, unveiling in 48 hours

Manchester United have reportedly completed the signing of Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal with the Chilean expected to be unveiled in few days.

After reaching a compromise in negotiations on Saturday in a swap deal involving both Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Alexis Sanchez, the Chilean is scheduled to travel to Manchester on Sunday to complete a medical and put pen to paper on a four-and-a-half year contract.

A transfer fee of £20 million will be paid to Arsenal while another £15 million fee will paid to Alexis Sanchez’s agent, Fernando Felicevich and will also receive £30 million as his signing-on fee over the next four years.

It is believed the former Barcelona striker will earn a staggering £350,000 per week plus an extra £100,000 on image rights over the course of his contract at the Theatre of Dreams, a figure which will make him the highest paid player in the Premier League.

Reports from English publication the Daily Mail claim the Chilean’s medical was slated for Saturday but it was postponed till Sunday because the medical team were given the night off having attended United’s 1-0 win against Burnley at the Turf Moor.

He is expected to be at Carrington between 5 and 6pm on Sunday in other to finalise his switch from Arsenal to Manchester United and is also expected to be unveiled as a Manchester United player latest by Tuesday with the Chilean forward likely to make his debut for the Red Devils away at Yeovil Town in the FA Cup on Friday night.
