Manchester united target, Ivan Perisic is understood to be so keen on a move to Old Trafford that he will force through a move from Inter Milan.
The 28-year-old Croatian international has been linked to United all summer, and was believed to be close to a move given that Inter had to pay €30m in accordance with Financial Fair Play rules, but with the 18-time Italian champions sourcing for funds with other players transfer fees, there is really no need to sell the former Borussia Dortmund attacker.
Goal reports that the player is ready to leave Inter Milan regardless as he is keen to test himself on a bigger stage, and has reportedly issued agent, Fali Ramadani an ultimatum to get him to the Theatre of Dreams.
Inter Milan have been holding out for close to £44m to any club interested in his services, but this latest move by Perisic could force their hand into selling for lower, as they wouldn’t want an unhappy player in their squad. New manager, Luciano Spaletti is keen for the Croat to remain at San Siro, but the Italian concedes that the allure of playing in the prestigious Premier League may prove too much to ignore, as per same report
Perisic changed agents last year, after his former representative failed to get him to England, which has been a lifelong dream of the brilliant forward. Jose Mourinho is keen to get his signature before Manchester United’s pre-season tour of USA next month, as he believes he will have ample time to acclimatize to the club and his new teammates.
Perisic was hugely influential for Serie A giants, Inter last term, contributing 20 goals (goals and assists) from his wide position. The club were atrocious changing managers three times, finishing a distant seventh on the log, and failing to qualify for any European competition.
