Jose Mourinho has sanctioned a temporary switch for Timothy Fosu-Mensah which would keep at Premier League side, Crystal Palace for the entire 2017/2018 season.
Fosu-Mensah recently signed a new contract at Old Trafford which suggests that he has a place in Mourinho’s plans for the future. However, the Portuguese tactician felt he would develop further if he gains more Premier League experience under his belt.
The likes of Michael Carrick and Marouane Fellaini are above him in the club’s hierarchy of midfielders, also the signing of Victor Lindelof has offered stiff competition to our Netherland import in the club’s defence, and with Antonio Valencia making the right back spot his forte, he was bound to be a fringe player going into the new season.
However, the versatile defensive star has been sent on a loan spell to accelerate his development under his compatriot and former boss Frank de Boer who was in charge of Ajax when the 21-year-old signed for us in 2014.
I’m very happy to have signed for @CPFC. Everyone at the club made me feel very welcome I’m looking forward to it #CrystalPalace #TFM24 ? ? pic.twitter.com/1SV1aiYJEU

Fosu-Mensah played a vital role in United’s defence last season and performed admirably for a player at his age, with his current contract spanning until the summer of 2020, he is tipped to be a perfect replacement for Antonio Valencia who has served the club for eight years and still counting.
Fosu-Mensah could operate anywhere in the defence, which makes him a priced asset to any team. He has made 21 appearances for the club since making his first-team appearance in the 2015/2016 season.
Here’s wishing the lad a nice stay at Crystal Palace.
