Manchester United still hope to complete a deal for 28-year-old Croatian international Ivan Perisic despite not yet agreeing a fee with Inter Milan for his services. The Red Devils have been linked to his signature all summer and expect to wrap up a deal before the end of the week.

Club manager, Jose Mourinho wants to bolster his ranks going into next season, but would prefer his transfer dealings concluded early so they can join the rest of the squad for the club’s pre-season tour of the USA.

Inter have been unwilling to budge on their £50m valuation of their star player, but United don’t want to go more than £45m, as per Independent. The Old Trafford outfit recently acquired the services of striker, Romelu Lukaku, and look set to further strengthen the team by nicking Tiemoue Bakayoko from the grasp of Chelsea yet again.

Perisic is also interested in a move as he feels there might be no better time to make a move to the interesting English league. Sources close to United expect the deal to go through and it is believed the Inter are looking at signing a replacement already.

Perisic alongside club captain, Mauro Icardi were the only shining spots for an Inter side that struggled for identity for majority of last season. The Nerrazurri had three managers last term, and eventually finish 7th on the Serie A log, out of the European places

Perisic is a classy winger known for his blinding pace, dribbling and crossing ability. Since joining from Wolfsburg two years ago, he has made 79 appearances for the Inter, scoring on 20 times.
