Manchester United in talks to sign £70M-rated winger – not Willian

According to reports in the Manchester Evening News, as cited by ESPN, Manchester United and Real Madrid are locked into talks about the transfer of Gareth Bale.

The Welsh wizard was majestic in the Champions League final in May coming from the bench to score twice and lead his club to a third consecutive Champions League triumph. In his post-match interview though, the former Tottenham man dropped a bombshell by effectively saying that he needed to be playing more if he is to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu come next season.

United have long been linked to the player with Jose Mourinho a big admirer. United are in the market for a marquee addition this summer with Bale top of the queue, even ahead of icon, Cristiano Ronaldo, who left Real Madrid to join Juventus.

However, Bale’s agent has stated that the future of his client is not dependent on the exit of the Portuguese superstar. The Spanish outfit have been linked to a host of big names this summer including Eden Hazard, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, a situation Bale isn’t too enamored with.

Bale had been looking to become top dog at Real should Ronaldo leave, but the signing of any of the trio could see him remain as yet another member of the team. With United offering him the chance to be the go-to man at the club, he could be swayed.

Bale will reportedly meet up with new Madrid boss, Julen Lopetegui next week to know what the manager’s plans are. Bale is a supremely talented player who is admired world over for his pace, technical ability and the penchant for scoring truly spectacular goals.

He joined Real in 2013 and has scored 70 goals in 126 league matches. Should he come to United, he will help us get closer to that 21st title.

Mouriho should first sign maguire before city takes him because he equal plays like vidic where he’s really good at short pieces than any of our defenders so get his services first.
