Martial could become another mistake for Jose Mourinho

Martial could become another mistake for Jose Mourinho

Jose Mourinho is  a man who sticks by his guns no matter the consequences. The Portuguese tactician is one of the best managers of all time, and while his time as Manchester United has divided opinion, there is still expectation of better times at Old Trafford. While he is a manager that boasts some of the greatest clues in Europe on his CV, he is not a man without faults Over the years, he has made decisions on letting some players leave his club, players that have gone elsewhere to achieve world class status.

Online UK top slots know that Jose Mourinho is a man who puts more pressure on himself to succeed than his employers, which invariably means that he is very ruthless about the kind of players that he signs and gets to feature in his teams.

He places a lot of emphasis on strength, mental fortitude and ability to go the extra mile. Some players have spoken about him in revered manner, while others don’t have too pleasant experiences working with him. At his former club, Chelsea, he let three players leave Stamford Bridge as he felt the players couldn’t cut it at the highest level. While the transfer policy in West London has changed in the last few years, perhaps Jose could have been more patient with players, especially the ones that are still developing.

The trio of Mohammed Salah, Kevin De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku all played for Chelsea at some point, but Jose wasn’t tolerant of their mistakes. These players are among the best players in the Premier League at the moment, which is a constant source of disappointment for the majority of Chelsea fans.

Anthony Martial arrived at Old Trafford with the reputation of being one of the best young  players in the world. He made an instant impact at the club in his first season, registering 17 goals and creating a further 8 in what was a very good debut campaign.

He has been good this term, playing regularly at the beginning of the season, though the arrival of Alexis Sanchez in January has put him further down in the pecking order. Mourinho employs the tough love approach with players he believes could be doing better than what they currently churn out, and Martial is not an exception.

He has scored 11 times this season, and is a left winger like Sanchez. Mourinho is desperate to win the league at United, and will do anything to get the club back to the top, even if it means letting any player leave. Martial is one for the future, and shouldn’t turn to another De Bruyne, Lukaku and Salah. United fans will not be able to live with that.
