Mourinho confident of sealing Danny Rose signing in January – report

According to The Daily Mail, Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho is growing increasingly confident about sealing the transfer of Tottenham left back, Danny Rose. The 27 year old England international looks to be on his way out of the London club, and it is believed that a fee of around £50m will be enough to lure him back to the north of England, where he was born and grew up.

Rose who recently returned back to first team action at Tottenham after nine months out with a knee injury has reportedly fallen out with his manager, Mauricio Pochettino after questioning the club’s wage structure back in August.

It is rumoured that the England international was close to a move to Old Trafford in the summer, but his knee injury was the dealbreaker to such aspiration. Rose, 27 has never hidden his intention to join a bigger club to compete for the biggest trophies on offer.

Tottenham manager, Pochettino has rotated his squad with Ben Davies sharing first team duties with Rose despite the left back returning to full fitness. It would seem that there is no future for Rose at the club after he was left out of the squad to face Arsenal last month.

Ashley Young has been used as a makeshift defender this season with the former Aston Villa man settling down into his new role with consummate ease. However, Jose wants a natural fit in that position as he is not impressed with the likes of Daley Blind and Luke Shaw who lack consistency. Rose will command a huge fee given that he signed a contract extension with the 2008 League Cup winners last year.

He is a quick, attacking left back known for his runs down that flank while not neglecting his defensive responsibilities. He has spent his entire career in north London apart from loan spells elsewhere and has scored 10.times in close to 150 appearances for the White Hart Lane outfit.
