Mourinho: Luke Shaw can leave United for £28m

According to reports from The Sun, Jose Mourinho has sanctioned the sale of England international Luke Shaw this summer. The former Southampton left back has been frozen out by the Portuguese this season after the manager bemoaned his commitment and ability to play for the club.

The  Online thunderkick slots report says that The Red Devils are willing to sell the player for £28m, as his relationship with Mourinho is at an all-time low. After signing from Southampton for around £27m in the summer of 2014, he has failed to develop as he has suffered injury and consistency issues, with United ready to cash in on the 22-year-old.

Premier League clubs, Everton, Tottenham and Southampton are interested in his services, though the asking price could serve as a deterrent, as United want to recoup what they paid for him four years ago. Prior to his arrival at Old Trafford, he was heralded as one of the best defenders to have broken through the Southampton academy in recent years and was termed as the long term replacement for Ashley Cole in the England national setup.

His contract at The Theatre of Dreams expires in 2019 and with no prospect of offering him an extension, the club want to sell him this summer to avoid losing him for free. Shaw started his United career well, though the club were quite surprised at his penchant for eating fast food as well as not putting in all the hard work on the training pitch. A club source said, “The club are pretty adamant they want all their money back paid to Southampton. “Jose hasn’t decided whether to get rid of him yet but his young age and market prices justify the position.”.

However, The Sun says that Shaw is willing to fight for his United career. He played fairly well late last year after Ashley Young was suspended by the FA, showing fitness and confidence, though he was promptly benched as soon as Young served his ban. Reports broke last week that United are considering the possibility of signing Celtic left back, Kieran Tierney, though The Express report that Brazilian defender, Alex Sandro is Jose Mourinho’s first choice to replace Shaw.

Shaw is a left back known for his attacking and defensive prowess but most work on his mental strength. In 4 years, he has not made up to 80 appearances for the 20-time English champions, a stark reminder that he has been below par.
