Fenerbahce have confirmed that they have completed the signing of Nani from Manchester United.
Nani arrived in Turkey at the weekend to undergo a medical, with the Turkish club posting pictures of the procedure today. Evidently, the winger passed with flying colours, and shortly after 1pm the deal was made official.
The fee is thought to be around £5m for the player who arrived in 2007 from Sporting Lisbon.
Nani played 230 times for United, scoring 40 goals. He won four league titles, a league cup and a Champions League during his time at Old Trafford, scoring a penalty in Moscow.
The player was at times frustrating with his undoubted potential never really showing itself in consistent patches on the pitch.
Meanwhile, Robin van Persie, who is rumoured to be close to joining Nani at his new club, was present for training today as the first team returned to pre-season. David De Gea, also apparently set to leave, was at Carrington too.
We wish Nani well. At least we’ll have this wonderful memory.
