This image of a Far East sportswear store appears to show Manchester United’s new third strip.
The strip is black with orange trim and the shorts clearly show a faded black to white design with orange stripes.
United’s alternate home strip features black shorts – a version of the strip they may well play in on their trip to Swansea – but the orange trim would suggest that these shorts on the third strip are not the ones that would be worn on those occasions.
Louis van Gaal’s team may play in this strip in their trip to Southampton in September but it seems more likely that their first outing – if not in the Champions League – in these colours will be at Arenal’s Emirates Stadium in early October.
