Is this the moment Colombian striker Radamel Falcao waved goodbye – literally – to Old Trafford?
RetroUnited.com editor Dan Burdett took the picture accompanying this article today in Manchester United’s 1-1 draw with Arsenal and it certainly seemed as if Falcao was making it clear that he was leaving with his gesture.
Falcao was lively yet ineffective as United failed to make their early advantage pay as it should and, with half an hour left, he was replaced by Robin van Persie, who continues to be given minutes after returning from injury.
On a day when the future of many players was called into question, it seems that Falcao was giving the clearest indication of any that he will not be at the club next year.
The forward arrived from Monaco on loan last year and has struggled to overcome persistent problems with serious injuries over the last two years.
