It’s all happening, isn’t it?
Apparently Sergio Ramos told Real Madrid yesterday he wants to leave. And James Ducker of the Times (Paywall link), one of those we definitely trust on such matters, tells us all that United have made a bid of £32m for the defender. Apparently, Madrid want a figure of £45m, but United rightly have reservations paying so much for a 29 year old. The Daily Mail agree with the news but suggest the bid is £35m. Our thoughts? Well, it’s clear to see United’s interest is genuine and serious, but we remain cautious over Ramos’ intentions.
James Ducker also says United are in ‘pole position’ for Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin. The Mail claim that the Saints have told him he can leave. The man himself apparently told radio station France Bleu Alsace that the ‘talks are ongoing and should be completed soon.’ So make of that what you will.
We’re apparently moving from one overpriced Colombian striker to another, and 28 year old Sevilla striker Carlos Bacca is apparently a £21m target. We are – apparently – in for him alongside Liverpool, so, expect him to be announced at Anfield any day.
The Daily Star have linked Arda Turan with a move from Atletico to United.
Saidy Janko – one of those we’d at least have liked to have seen be given a proper chance if Rafael was definitely surplus to requirements – is being linked with a move to Celtic.
