The transfer saga of Angel Di Maria continues to rumble on after he was left out of Real Madrid’s game with Atletico yesterday.
The Daily Star reacted to the news in England but it was Marca’s response that generated the interest. Carlo Ancelotti did not specify which team had made an offer for the player but Marca believes Manchester United are edging closer to the transfer with a 70M Euro offer, declaring this the ‘final countdown’.
This contradicts yesterday’s news from the Express that United have in fact decided not to pursue the signing due to Adnan Januzaj’s progression. Conclusion – nobody seems to know.
The Daily Star have gone bold with declaring Paul Pogba has snubbed United by signing a new contract at Juventus. In the same spirit, PressRed wishes to make it clear that we have snubbed United by deciding to stay home and watch Soccer Saturday. We’ve also been snubbed by Mario Balotelli who’s gone to Liverpool which will come as a crushing blow particularly after free agent Gary Deegan sensationally SNUBBED Manchester to sign for Southend this week.
Gary Neville interviewed Louis van Gaal for the Telegraph. It’s a fairly interesting read but nothing startlingly new is revealed aside from Gary being surprised by the authority of the new United manager.
More interesting is the fact that United reportedly go into the weekend’s game with Sunderland with just Darren Fletcher, Tom Cleverley and Anderson as fit to play midfielders. Crumbs.
Robin van Persie and David Moyes were among the latest individuals with United connections to go through the ‘Ice bucket’ challenge (I don’t think anyone knows what cause they’re doing it for any more).
