Paris St. Germain have ended negotiations with Manchester United for the transfer of Angel Di Maria, according to beIN Sports.
beIN are owned by Nasser Al-Khelaifi – the same person who owns PSG – and so it stands to reason that the reports are accurate.
The sports network reports that Paris reached a ‘dead end’ with the Reds, likely to be United’s insistence for a fee close to the £59.7m they paid to aquire the player from Real Madrid a year ago.
Twitter user Waleed Abu Nada posted tweets and a video appearing to confirm the news
beIN Sports and PSG have the same owner: Nasser Al-Khelaifi. When they say Di Maria is not joining, then trust me, he is not. #mufc

So, as things stand, it appears as if Angel Di Maria may well get another chance at Manchester United, although there are some reports that the transfer may still go ahead as soon as tomorrow.
We would like Di Maria to get a second year at Old Trafford but even if the reports are accurate, with both player and United clearly open to negotiations, we would expect that even if talks have broken down, it is likely to be a temporary rather than permanent hiatus in discussions.
Just last night it was being reported that Di Maria would not make another appearance for United – we all know how quickly things can turn around in the transfer window. Though the message from beIN appears quite definite, only a fool would make absolute statements.
