Manchester Evening News are reporting that Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin has passed a medical at Manchester United and is set to join the club in time to travel with them to their pre-season trip of the USA.

Morgan Schneiderlin is set to be part of an £80m transfer package on Manchester United’s flight out to America for the pre-season tour with the midfielder becoming Louis van Gaal’s fourth signing of the summer.
The Southampton player has had a medical at United’s Carrington training HQ and, while a fee and length of contract are yet to be announced, the French midfielder is United’s latest capture.
The expensive new cargo on the flight to Seattle on Monday will see 25-year-old Schneiderlin join Bastian Schweinsteiger, Matteo Darmian and Memphis Depay in the USA in a new look Reds squad.
Executive vice chairman Ed Woodward has been busy in the last few days and has successfully landed four players from Van Gaal’s wish list.
While they do not report a contract length, it is believed to be a four year deal for the French midfielder. He will also be categorised as a home grown player which will be important for squad registration next season.
