Manchester United have made an offer for Harry Kane – that’s the rumour doing the rounds at the Audi Cup, where the Spurs striker was left out of the squad for their friendly game today.
As Spurs’ preferred striker it could well be that Kane has been left out to preserve him for Saturday lunchtime’s game between the two clubs at Old Trafford but according to the commentary team at Spurs’ friendly, United have lodged a huge offer believed to be around £40m for the forward who set the Premier League alight last season.

The Daily Star suggested that a new move had been made earlier and that story has intensified after Kane was left out of today’s game.
Kane scored 21 league goals last season and 31 goals in all competitions.
