TEAM NEWS: 4-4-2 – How United Will Line Up Against Aston Villa

Louis van Gaal confirmed that David De Gea, Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones will all miss tomorrow’s game with Aston Villa.

That leads us to guess that United will go in to the game with a rare unchanged side – Ashley Young or Memphis Depay appear the likeliest to give with Ander Herrera possibly adding numbers to midfield, especially considering it is an away game, but Van Gaal didn’t necessarily go timid with his away line ups last season.

Van Gaal said that ‘in normal circumstances’ Sergio Romero will play, while the defence will surely pick itself.

Bastian Schweinsteiger may well make his first start – and may be the player to come in if the Reds change formation – though with his comments about match rhythm and fluency, it surely stands to reason that the team who took the field against Spurs will be the one that starts the game tomorrow night.

The match kicks off at 7.45pm and is live on Sky Sports.
