Following a spectacular campaign by Monaco this season, a host of Europe’s top clubs are willing to pay top money for anyone of their top players. Under the tutelage of Leonardo Jardim, the principality club reached the semifinals of both The Coupe de France and the UEFA Champions League, while reaching the final of the Coupe de La Ligue and winning Ligue 1, in what has been a truly remarkable season.
Reports in France suggest that 22 -year -old Portuguese midfielder Bernado Silva is in advanced talks to join Manchester United in the summer. France Football magazine claims that Mourinho is prepared to place huge money on the lad who helped dismantle Manchester City in the Champions League Round of 16. The player has never hidden his desire to play for a top European club in his career and this summer could well see him make that big career move.
Silva is attracting interest from the likes of PSG, Juventus and Chelsea, but it seems that Jose Mourinho is seemingly ahead of everyone else in the race for the signature of his countryman.
Silva is a playmaker who has been compared to Manchester City’s David Silva. Diminutive in stature, he makes up for his lack of physicality, as he possesses a wicked left foot capable of detecting holes in the tightest of defences. He would offer creativity in United’s beleaguered attacking lineup, which has looked bereft of ideas all season long. He has scored 10 goals from midfield this season.
